Using UWorld for NSG210

A guide to using the UWorld NCLEX-RN QBank alongside the NSG210 chapter outlines on this site: which UWorld filters match each chapter and exam, how to build and review blocks, and how to keep enough of the bank unused for NCLEX review later.

This page contains no UWorld questions. UWorld content is copyrighted, and its terms do not allow copying questions out.

How UWorld Fits With Course Study

Source Best for Why
Chapter outlines and textbook-style practice questions The NSG210 unit exams Unit exams follow the assigned chapters, so textbook-based review matches exam content and wording most closely
UWorld QBank Understanding, NCLEX-style reasoning, NGN case studies, Kaplan integrated exams Detailed rationales explain why each option is right or wrong; questions test priority and safety judgment the way the NCLEX does

Order of study for each chapter:

  1. Read the chapter outline on this site.
  2. Do textbook-style practice questions for that chapter.
  3. Do a UWorld block on the matching system (see the chapter map below) to test whether you can apply it.

UWorld Basics

Feature names below are from UWorld’s own guides; the labels on your screen may differ slightly.

Ground Rules

  1. Plan the whole bank against two dates: when the subscription ends and when you take the NCLEX. Unused questions are lost when the subscription ends, but the weeks right before the NCLEX are when fresh questions help most. If the NCLEX comes after the subscription ends, either renew so it covers the exam, or finish the bank before it expires and plan other practice for the gap. Either way, keep some unused questions and at least one self-assessment for the last few weeks of prep if the subscription allows it.
  2. Small, frequent blocks. 20 to 30 questions a day in tutor mode is better than 100 on a weekend.
  3. Review time at least equal to question time. A 25-question block takes about 30 minutes to answer and 30 to 45 minutes to review.
  4. Write takeaways in your own words. Log the concept you missed, not the question text. If the takeaway fills a gap in a chapter outline, add it there.
  5. Track the pattern of misses, not just the score: did you not know the content, misread the question, or miss the priority?

How to Review a Block

For each question, especially misses and lucky guesses:

  1. Why is the right answer right? State the principle (for example, “airway before antibiotics”).
  2. Why is each wrong option wrong?
  3. What type of miss was it: content gap, misread the stem, or wrong priority?
  4. Write a one-line takeaway in your own words, and add it to the chapter outline if the outline is missing it.
